CMHA Mental Health Week takes place May 6-12, 2024. During this week we are invited to prioritize our personal mental health. The theme for this week is Compassion Connects.
What does it mean to be resilient? And what if we told you that, with practice and persistence, we all have the ability to be resilient during life's most stressful moments. Resilience doesn't eliminate adversity; it gives us strength, the tools, and the mindset to respond to and tackle adversity head-on. Learning to be resilient is a process that involves profound growth, self-awareness, and self-compassion.
With strengthened coping mechanisms, the ability to embrace change and gain perspective, we can all have resilient minds in tough times.
Learning Objectives:
Define emotional resilience and self-efficacy.
Increase awareness about your mental health and response to stress.
Learn to generate a list of your wellness tools and self-care activities.
Distinguish four types of support.
Explore mindfulness.
This program is facilitated by the Canadian Mental Health Association.
